Background: It has been claimed that spinal cord injury (SCI) changed health status. They have suffered from poor health, depression signs, and mental and physical problems. The aim of this study was to the role of rebound exercise (RE) on quality of life (QOL) and emotional states (ES) on patients with SCI. Methods: The number of 10 male and 6 female with SCI (American Spinal Cord Association classification (ASIA) A=6, B=6, C=2, D=2) and range of age 20 to 40 years participated in this semi-experimental study by convenience sampling manner. RE (exercise on trampoline) were performed for 12 weeks. Prospective randomized single-blind test-retest design. Participants were allocated into 2 groups of control (5 males and 3 females) and rebound (5 males and 3 females) by randomized matched method. Consent forms signed after a session of briefing. QOL by adapted questionnaire from Lancashire and Wisconsin questionnaires and ES (depression, anxiety, and stress) by depression Anxiety Stress Scales-21 (DASS-21) were measured before and after 12 weeks of RE. Data were analyzed by repeated measure ANOVA in SPSS software with significance level considered P < 0.05.  Results: Significant interactions were observed for all dependent variables (P < 0.01). It means that experimental groups made significant improvement in QOL, depression, anxiety, and stress rather than control group. Conclusions: The results of this study confirmed that RE could improve the QOL, emotional state of patients SCI, also rebound exercise can be used as a complementary training in rehabilitation programs of SCI.
